The hero behind this story is you.

During lockdown, we were all united by uncertainty—facing fears and challenges no one of us had experienced before.
It was a moment that disrupted everyone’s daily routines and created an unease feeling of not knowing how our future might look like. 

During this time,  I realized that there wasn’t a single hand sanitizer in South Africa that felt modern, effective, and aligned with my lifestyle – so I decided to create one.

What began as product sourcing in the early stages started to spark interest and motivated me to look at similar brands overseas.
Soon, I found myself immersed in the process—learning, researching, and refining every detail.

And so, Handhero was born.

Handhero is developed in collaboration with a specialist who is a full member of COSCHEM (Cosmetic Chemists Association of South Africa) and is produced in an external laboratory to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and sterility.

Living through Lockdown, times often felt bleak.
However, these tough moments challenged us to use our own creativity as a source of comfort and purpose—whether through baking, painting, crafting, or creating something entirely new.
The pandemic also encouraged us to reflect on our habits, reconnect and support our communities.

Handhero is my contribution to that shift.

I’m very proud to share this little hero with you and I hope it brings a sense of freshness, hydration, and protection to you in every adventure—big or small.
Handhero is about helping you feel confident and cared for, whatever the new “normal” might be.
